What's on this agenda

Orange County's unified transportation board took two information items on February 16: the FY 2027 annual work programme for transit, and a call for pedestrian safety projects. Neither required a vote.

Staff also reported a Mebane route change and the usual round on the planning organisations and the state transportation department. Public comment at this board comes by email and is read aloud during the meeting.

Meeting recap

What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes

Orange County's Unified Transportation Board met February 16 and moved a Mebane transit service expansion toward a public hearing planned for spring. Staff told the board five of 36 submitted pedestrian safety projects were selected, with limited state funding, and said they will follow up with NCDOT on the rest.

The board approved its December 15 minutes 10-0 with one abstention, correcting a date reference, and heard that the FY2027 work program is still in development and that a FY2026 annual report will go to the county commissioners in March. No public comment was received.
