What's on this agenda

Wake Forest commissioners will hold a public hearing on a 5.54-acre annexation petition tied to rezoning case RZ-22-07, covering two parcels on Capital Boulevard owned by Elizabeth Hunt Holding and SW Capital LLC. A second annexation petition, 9.55 acres on Burlington Mills Road and Ligon Mill Road filed by the Eunice M. Rogers heirs and linked to rezoning RZ-22-09, is up only to set its own public hearing and certify the petition sufficient.

The consent agenda carries nine items: a third budget amendment for the current fiscal year, an installment purchase agreement to finance FY24 vehicles and equipment, a five-year renewal of the town's audit contract with Cherry Bekaert LLP, and a construction award to Morgan Corp. for dam improvements at J.B. Flaherty Park. Commissioners will also set the engineering scope for Dunn Creek Greenway Phases 3 and 4, funded by the town's 2022 bond, name a representative to the Upper Neuse River Basin Association, and go into closed session to consult with the town attorney. Nine proclamations open the meeting, from Building Safety Month to Arbor Day.
