What's on this agenda

Meeting recap
What happened, drawn from the records published after the meeting. Minutes
The air and energy subcommittee discussed how to find data that has been removed from public sources and where else to get it, reviewed outlines for the climate change section, and added nuclear power generation to its list of topics. The land subcommittee looked at how land use affects the local water cycle, including crop transpiration, and how to collect data on farms and land use; it will use the Agricultural Preservation Board's data on farmland and timber. It will recommend that the State of the Environment report call for a tree canopy study of Orange County, as Wake and Durham have done.
Staff reported a $200,000 grant to put solar on the Cedar Grove Community Center. The commission also planned its table at Earth Evening on 25 April in Hillsborough, discussed what it would take to seat a youth delegate, and recognised a departing member.
How the votes went
