What's on this agenda
Wake Forest commissioners will review a $1,350,000 agreement with the City of Raleigh for stormwater and paving work on North Main Street and eight other streets. American Rescue Plan Act money would cover it. The board will also take up a third amendment to the cities' 2005 utility merger agreement. It would apply a $1,239,352 overpayment Wake Forest made toward additional water capacity. It would also expand Raleigh's service area into land the town plans to bring into its extraterritorial jurisdiction. The amendment would also sell a town-owned parcel on South College Street to Raleigh for a new elevated water tank and booster station.
Planning staff will present transit service alternatives for the town's draft Public Transit Plan, developed after a pop-up event, two open houses and two surveys. Commissioners will also hear the monthly financial report and preview the July 18 regular meeting agenda. That agenda includes a public hearing on a 22.9-acre annexation petition on North Main Street and a consent item to annex 27.4 acres on Rogers Road for a townhome development.
