What's on this agenda

Pittsboro's Board of Commissioners holds a public hearing on 12 October on PB-25-606, the preliminary plat for the Roberts Run major subdivision. The Planning Board recommended it unanimously on 21 September, and staff recommend approval. Much of the evening goes to Chatham Park's South Village. The board hears presentations on section design plans for Sections 2.1, 2.2, 2.4 and D2, a South Village transportation update and a fiscal impact analysis of the plans. Then it discusses PB-26-243, which the Planning Board recommended with conditions. No vote is scheduled on the South Village plans.

The board also appoints steering committees for a strategic economic development plan and a downtown master plan, and fills the Planning Board's vacant extraterritorial seat. Two items set up the Holly Days tree lighting: a road closure and a budget amendment for more event money. The consent agenda carries three budget amendments, for a local law enforcement bonus program, CivicPlus software and a water and sewer grant correction, plus street closures and alcohol permissions for the Veterans Day event and the street fair. The meeting is at the Chatham County Agriculture and Conference Center. Item documents could not be opened for this summary, so the amounts are not given.

Speaking at this meeting

Town of Pittsboro's own rules for public comment — check them before you rely on anything here.

2 items were added after the agenda first went up

A late addition is how the public gets surprised: somebody reads the agenda, decides nothing on it concerns them, and the thing that does is added afterwards. They are marked in the list below.

The day counts are an upper bound. Governments publish what is on an agenda, not when each item was put there, so these are measured from when this site first saw the item — which can be later than when the clerk added it, never earlier.
